What inspired me to be a coach is my mom. Her passion for coaching and the positive impact she made on all of her swimmers made me realize that I wanted to do the same.

How long have you been coaching?
I’ve been coaching for a little over 3 years.

Can you share a bit of your background in the sport?
I started swimming at the age of 4 and swimming has been a big part of my life since, swimming though high school and also teaching swim lessons.

What is your coaching philosophy?
My coaching philosophy is a combination of technical expertise, passion for the sport, and a commitment to holistic athletic development.

What is your role in a young person's life?
My role includes mentorship, being a role model, skill development, character building, physical and mental well being, goal setting, life skills, building confidence, and making new friendships along the way!

Can you speak to a rewarding experience you have had in coaching?
The most rewarding thing for me is seeing my swimmers achieving their goals and seeing them succeed outside of my group. Their journey is just beginning!

What does success mean to you?
The achievement of personal goals, the realization of aspirations, and a sense of fulfillment.

What are your goals for the team?
My goal for the team is to build the Junior Otter group and teach them all 4 strokes!
